The Bellingham Family Church is a contemporary ministry of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.
We are people from a wide range of religious and cultural backgrounds, as well as people from no religious background at all. We are a multi-generational church with active youth and a well-deserved reputation for its summer and winter youth camps.
As a first timer you'll be struck by the diversity of faces you'll see and the intercultural families you'll meet. You'll feel comfortable here because we are not about labels; we're about creating a life with God and others that simply reflects our values.
We are a faith that has something new to offer. Our message is contemporary because it speaks to how God is working in the world right now. Those who hear our message, regardless of whether they were raised with religion or not, feel refreshed and discover a new relationship with God and others.
First and foremost God is our parent, having both the heart of a mother and a father. Through experiencing God as our Heavenly Parent, we realize our divine value and understand the connection we have with those around us. God wants to be a part of every aspect of our lives.
All people are created in the image of God and have unique value. This value is absolute and unchanging, regardless of any differences. We are all precious to God and we strive to reflect that in our relationships.
Together, a man and woman reflect the image of God. It is through this relationship that we experience the fullness of life and God's heart of true love. Our families are our greatest gift to the world and to God.
Religion is a vehicle through which God is reaching out to the world. We recognize that all the major faith traditions are expressions of God's work and hold important truths. Today, God is revealing a way for the world's religions to unify.
